Earth Day Jubilee

3rd Friday April 2013
Wood Mosaic Frames

The Earth Day Jubilee third Friday event (4/19), in the adult category, we planed for a wood mosaic photo frame activity that didn’t go quite as good as I wanted. For one thing, we knew that since we have other earth day events going on in other parts of the town, the earth day event at the museum might not attract as many as participants that we expect in other events. Besides, we set up the wood mosaic station in the classroom, which is kind of isolated from the other parts of the Museum and there was no sign to direct the crowd. Nonetheless, we had great participants who really liked the activity and they did an awesome job making awesome hand-made frames.

  1. Hi Neda,

When you say it didn't go "as good as you wanted," are you talking about the number of people who participated? Crowds are not the only measure of a good project. I'd love for us to come up with some criteria as a group here at MAH so that we can analyze our projects and learn from them without it always being focused on the number of people who participate. Thanks for sharing!
